   The chairman of the Sverdlovsk region

government Viktor Koksharov took part in region presentation

for the representatives of US Chamber

of Commerce in Russia.

The presentation was held in Moscow

   Viktor Koksharov told about the results of

the last meeting. "US Chamber of Commerce amounts about 800 companies and corporations operating in the Russian Federation.

The large-scale picture of economic and social development of the Sverdlovsk region as well as investment projects, which have already been started and which are planned to start in the nearest future, have

been presented within the presentation.

The heads of some largest Middle Ural

corporations, which comprise the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), VSMPO-AVISMA, Uralvagonzavod, RENOVA-Stroi-Group, spoke to the representatives of the USA companies. The American party perceived all information presented by delegation with profound interest".

   One should mark that the USA is one of

the leading trade partners of the Sverdlovsk region. Last year the mutual commodity turnover exceeded US $1,2 billion. Moreover, the USA is one of the largest investors in the economy of the region. The country occupies the third place among all foreign investors of this region.

Last year the USA invested over US $ 100 million into Middle Ural.

   Viktor Koksharov expects that this presentation will give ano ther stimulus to

the relations development of the Sverdlovsk region and the USA.

US Chamber of Commerce has already planned the delegation travel of large business representatives headed by the

Chamber president Andrew Somers to Middle Ural to the end of August-beginning of September.
