The international tourist holding Hotelplan has paid up controlling stock interest of “Ascent” Travel operator (Russia). This news became a surprise for tourist industry. Thus, as it became known from unofficial sources, such an event hasn’t been expected not only by competitors and partners of “Ascent”, but also by a number of company top managers, including Andrei Zabolotnykh, one of its cofounders. It is known also, that it goes not simply about the sale of company controlling stock interest, but practically about all assets.

OAO Pharmacy Chain “36,6” reported that in Q3 2007 it acquired nine pharmacy chains: “ZEM Pharm”, “Nasha Apteka” (“Our pharmacy”), ASN, “Sigma”, “Firma IKA”, “Donluv”, ALS, “Kompanyon” and “Ekoros Pharm”. In total they include 120 pharmacies, their total turnover in 2006 is about $24,8 millions. Taking into account these acquisitions, “36,6” now includes 1090 pharmacies. And acquisition of the “Kompanyon”, “Nasha Apteka” and ASN chains allowed “36,6” to operate in three new regions — Stavropol region, Vladimirskaya and Ivanovskaya Territories.

Only interests on credits, which Russian banks and companies have taken in the West, already made $40-45 billions. This figure was made public by the first vice chairman of Bank of Russia Aleksej Ulyukaev at the meeting of commercial banks’ representatives with guidance of CB (Central Bank of Russia). He reported also, that according to the last data the general volume of external borrowings for 9 months of 2007 exceeded $300 billions and servicing of these credits leads to long-term reduction in liquidity.

The largest in the world producer of aluminium and alumina, the Russian united company RUSAL, declared a full capacity launch of the Khakas Aluminium Smelter (KhAZ) ahead of schedule. As the press-service of company reported, the fourth and the last complex has been launched, the smelter capacity reached 300 000 tons, and the total volume of investments exceeded $750 millions

PLC “IGC-4” signed a contract for building two power generation units on the basis of 400 MW CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine) unit in the branch of “Surgut STPS-2” with a consortium consisting of General Electric International Inc. (the USA) and Gama Guc Sistemleri Muhendislik ve Taahhut A.s. (Turkey).

According to the first deputy of director general of the company of the corporate management business «Concern tractor factories» Valery Yarmolovych, the growth of production made from 140% to 190%.

Proceeds of one of the largest Russian services of internet introductions — Mamba.ru grew by 64% in the first half-year of 2007 as compared to the same period of 2006. Other Russian internet companies did not report on January — June yet, but last year they grew even faster.

Actuality September, 26, 2007. Concern Siemens has decided to use its right of priority for purchasing of 30.4% of Joint Stock Company « Silovye mashiny» (“Force machines”) shares, which belongs to holding “Interros”, and has already made an application to Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). Earlier it was considered, that Siemens is not going to apply for this holding of shares.
