Russia fully paid off the International Bank for Economic Cooperation

Russia fully paid the external debt off the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) in size of $118, 4 mln. About this is reported in the press-release of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation (RF).
On January 29, 2008 the Ministry of Finance signed an agreement with IBEC about the settlement of reciprocal financial claims on the operati
ons of the former USSR.
By the estimations of the Russian Ministry of Finance, repayment of outstanding indebtedness to IBEC allowed to provide the economy of the federal budget in size of $16, 3 mln.
In October, 2007 the Ministry of Finance of RF in advance repaid the agricultural loan indebtedness to the USA
in size of $343 mln on, which was floatted to the Russian government by the USA.
In addition, in September was taken the decision about repayment of indebtedness of the former USSR in size $470 mln to the United Arab Emirates.
Russia received possibility for repayment of external indebtedness ow ing to the accumulation of facilities in Stabilization fund due
to high oil prices.
