Gazprom published report for 2006

The net of Gazprom grew by 62% to $79,169 billion. EBITDA of gas business concern made up $35,138 billion, having increased by 69% as compared to 2005. The net is two times more – $22,538 billion
The EBITDA Index appeared by 16% below than annual prognoses (however by 3% higher than market average estimations were) due to the unforeseen substantial increase of costs on the purchase of oil and gas from independent producers.
The EBITDA Profitability (44%) on results 2006 appeared to be a record one. Above all things due to the favorable economic market actions of natural gas, consolidation of the “Gazpromneft” (Gas and oil industry), which recently represented good financial reports for 2006, and increase of receipts from deliveries of gas to the CIS countries, foremost, as a result of revision of terms of deliveries of gas to Ukraine, which entered into force in the beginning of 2006. «The especially high proceeds were for the 4 quarter of 2006 – $21,468 billion.
In 2006 «Gazprom» gained practically no profit from the sale of gas to the internal market (it’s 55% of general sales of the company). However, analysts say that in the future the cash flow of the concern can increase at the expense of the grows of profitability due to the grows internal gas tariffs.
The report published by «Gazprom» was positively perceived by the market. One share of company costed RUR265,4 (+ 0,3%), although with the opening quotations jumped to RUR 270 for a security (+2%). On a background of the decline of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange index by 0,6% it is possible to say that investors positively perceived the results of gas monopoly for 2006.
