Federal public institution “Russian scientific center “Kurchatovskij institute” and Intel Company signed an agreement about intentions providing collaboration

in the sphere of creation of nanomaterials and nanosystems for

their application in micro- and nanoelectronics.

Thus, strategic partnership of the largest Russian scientific center and world IT-leader gained an additional powerful impulse for development that will effectively affect

the results of collaboration.

Cooperation of “Kurchatovskij institute” and Intel anticipates development in three basic directions: information exchange, scientific researches, joint educational projects, and also elaboration of innovations.

The information exchange supposes holding of joint seminars on forming the common informative field and determination of priority directions of joint activity.

In particular, the parties plan to organize regular seminars with invitation of the leading Russian scientists and specialists of Intel Company concerning industrial development of nanotechnologies and their application to microelectronic industry.

Besides, the specialists of “Kurchatovskij institute” and Intel Company will participate in regular conference “Nanotechnologies: from idea to innovation” for experience exchange in the area of technological enterprise.

The sphere of joint scientific researches includes the following directions of activity: application of centers of the collective use of “Kurchatovskij institute” for the study of physical and chemical processes in microelectronic materials and devices (in particular, the center of synchrotron radiation and nanotechnologies); elaboration of multiprocessor and multicore computer systems and programs, systems of the distributed computing; modelling of nanodevices, nanosystems and processes, and also elaboration of new materials; searching projects in the sphere of R&D in micro- and nanoelectronics (for example, the study of new materials and lithographic technologies for the interlayer connections and transistors in the integrated circuits created on a technological process with a norm less than 45 nm). Joint educational projects suppose preparation and giving educational courses on micro-

and nanoelectronics of different levels, and also preparation of special and popular publications about nanotechnologies.

The development of innovations within the collaboration framework of “Kurchatovskij institute” and Intel Company implies participation in conducting of competitions  of business ideas and business plans in the field of nanotechnologies; creation and development of techno park and technological incubator in “Kurchatovskij institute”; personnel training and retraining on such courses as management of innovations, technological enterprise,

management of researches.
