Share of oil and gas in the structure of Russian export to far abroad countries was reduced by 67%

In the commodity structure of Russian export to the far abroad countries the ratio of fuel and energy commodities in January-September 2007 totaled 67% from all volume of export to these countries against 70,5% in January-September 2006,
reports press-service of Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russian Federation (RF). Physical volumes of oil deliveries for 9 months of 2007 increased by 3,7%, cost volumes – by 5,9%, middle contract prices – by 2,1%.
Physical volumes of natural gas export in January-September were reduced by 13,1% as compared to the same period of the last year, however middle contract prices increased by 5,1%. Physical volume of oil products export in January-September of 2007 increased by 4,7% as compared to January-September of 2006,
including fuel oil – by 11,5%. Physical volumes of hard coal (anthracite coal) deliveries increased by 6,8%, coke – by 68,1%.
Share of metals and metal products export in January-September of 2007 as compared to January-September of 2006
increased by 2,2 percentage points and totaled 15,4%. Cost volumes of metals and metal products export increased by 25,6% due to the increase of volumes of cast iron deliveries – by 21,8%, ferroalloys – by 22,3%, semifinished materials from iron – by 26,1%, from copper – by 15,3%, from nickel – by 73,3%, from aluminium – by 41,1%.
Share of products of chemical industry in export in current year totaled 5,4% against 4,9% in January-September of 2006.
Cost volumes of export of this commodity group increased by 18,7%. Deliveries of methanol (physical volumes) increased by 25,2%, potassic fertilizers – by 23,9%.
Cost volumes of export of timber products, cellulose and paper wares in January-September of 2007 increased by 29,1%, and their share in the general volume of export to the far abroad countries totaled 3,7% (in January-September of 2006 – 3,1%). Cost volumes of deliveries of lumber increased by 47,2%, plywood – by 28,6%, round timber – by 28,8%, cellulose – by 25,6%.
Share of machines and equipment in January-September of 2007 totaled 3% (in January-September of 2006 – 3,1%). Cost deliveries of engines and power-plants increased – by 20,2%, radar and radio-navigation equipment – by 31,6%.
Share of food products in export in January-September of 2007 totaled 1,4% (in January-September of 2006 – 0,9%). The physical volumes of deliveries of wheat increased by 39,7%, barley – by 51,3%. At the same time was marked the reduction of deliveries of milk – by 38,3%, poultry meat – by 43,9%, fresh-frozen fish – by 23,8%.
