Russian international reserves

Russian international reserves attained the new record value. As of January, 25 their volume totaled $479,4 bln, reported the department of external and public relations of Bank of Russia on Thursday.
Meantime, as of January, 18 their volume equaled $478,4 bln. Thus, international reserves grew $1 bln for a week.
International reserves are high liquidity financial assets, at disposal of Bank of Russia and Russian government. International reserves consist of assets in foreign currency, monetary gold, special drawing rights (SDR, calculated monetary unit, used the International Monetary Fund, IMF), reserve position in IMF and other reserve assets.
