The volume of the bank deposits of population of Russian Federation

Deposits of physical persons on ruble and currency accounts in the Russian banks by July, 1, 2007 made 4 trillion 348,1 billion rubles ($173,92 billion) against 4 trillion 208,7 billion rubles a month before (growth for 3,3%), as Federal service of state statistics (Rosstat) reported .

Share of Saving Bank of Russia in the general volume of savings of natural persons (in rubles and foreign currency) on July, 1 made 53,2%, having gone down for 0,3 percentage point as compared to beginning of 2007.
On ruble accounts in the Russian banks by July, 1 of this year there were 3 trillion 722,9 billion rubles ($148,916 billion) (growth as compared to the same date in 2006 is for 48,9%). Deposits in foreign currency in the Russian rubles terms made 625,2 billion rubles by July, 1 (decrease for 0,3%).
In Saving Bank of Russia by July, 1 Russians had 2 trillion 311,1 billion rubles (growth for 35,9% by July, 1, 2006), including ruble accounts – 2 trillion 059,7 billion rubles (growth for 43,1%), currency accounts – 251,4 billion rubles (decrease for 3,9%).

According to the data on July, 1, in the structure of deposits of population the pension deposits (including time deposits) prevailed in Saving Bank, their share was 49,2% of sum total of population savings as against 53,9% on July, 1, 2006. The share of time deposits was 40,6% of all investments of population in Saving Bank, as well as a year before, on the accounts of bank cards there were 8,6% as against 7,8% a year before. The rest sum of the bank deposits was divided between other types of investments.
