About the company
Russian power company – Volga Territorial Generation Company (TGC-7) OJSC – was set up on August, 1, 2005 within the frame of project realization of Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk and Orenburg power systems restructuring.
Main activity of the company is thermal and electric energy is production, electric power sale at the wholesale market, heat supply to domestic and industrial consumers.
Volga TGC comprises generation and grid assets of Samaraenergo, Saratovenergo and Ulyanovskenergo with the further contribution in authorized capital of 100% stocks of Orenburg TGC (since March 9, 2007). In total Volga TGC incorporates 21 stations with
total electric power of 6 879,7 MW and thermal power of 30 687,2 GCal.
Volga TGC will be the second largest
TGC among the created in Russia in terms of installed capacity.
As on January 1, 2007 the total headcount of enterprises, included in Volga TGC, totaled 20 616 employees, including 3 67 3 employees of Orenburg TGC.
Volga TGC manages over 530 km of city thermal grids (in double pipe estimation) and 180 central heating stations in Tolyatti, Novokuibyshevsk, Saratov and Balakovo, and also 177 boiler houses in Saratov.
Orenburg TGC, included in the responsibility area of Volga TGC, also manages more than 520 km of thermal grids (in double pipe estimation), 139 central heating stations and 75 municipal boiler houses in Orenburg and Mednogorsk.
The general length of own and leased thermal grids is more than 1965 km
