The Russian internet corporation "Yandex" is go ing to conduct IPO on the American stock exchange NASDAQ
in autumn, 2008.
About this reported the newspaper "Kommersant" with reference to the undisclosed source.
According to the information of
the edition, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Renaissance Capital will prepare the offering.
Analysts suppose that stocks' offering of "Yandex" will become one of the largest Russian IPO
of informative and communication sector companies.
"The volume of the offering is not determined yet. I can only say that the company does not have a keen necessity in money, therefore the greater part of IPO proceeds will receive the stockholders who decided to sell their stocks", the newspaper quotes the source in one of the mentioned banks.
There have not been any official comments about this yet.
In 2007 the profit of "Yandex" grew approximately at 130% and totaled $167 mln. Net income, by the estimation of Finam Investment Company, totaled $60 mln. Moreover, at the end of the last year "Yandex" entered the top ten of the largest world's search engines for the first time, and that can positively influence
the company capitalization.
